Job Duties:
•Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable QA processes and procedures to provide more effective quality methods within the group in support of providing quality products.
•Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
•Develop software quality test plans and test cases, and lead in setting and maintaining the standards for Software Quality Assurance test documentation.
•Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans to ensure software requirements are met.
•Maintain a high degree of error free programs, procedures, systems, and documentation on all software application releases.
•Anticipate potential software problems by creating exhaustive test scenarios that ensure
•Comprehensive testing.
•ETL Testing
•Document all testing results in conjunction with test plans.
•Identify and analyze defects/test results and be able to deduct the chain of events leading to a failure.
•Identify areas for test improvement through analysis, experience and use of metrics.
•Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.
•Educate and train peers and subordinates on the QA process and provide guidance.
•Provide coaching and guidance to the QA team.
•Develops and executes formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
•Participates in all test planning, writing test cases/scripts from Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
•Develop test case automation and test execution.
•Testing may include application, network, system and user acceptance testing.
•Managing and tracking defects.
•Performs System Integration Testing (SIT), User Interfaces (UI) and Regression.
•Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•Good knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes.
•Good understanding of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems.
•Works with multiple programs/systems on projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments.
•Works independently with management and technical groups within the functions they support.
•Experience working in and Agile/Scrum environment
Required Skills:
•5-8 years QA Testing experience
•3 - 5 years experiences in Insurance and Banking business environments.
•Experience doing manual and automated testing
•Experience automating test scripts using Visual Studio 2010/2012/2015
•Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Test Manager
•Experience using testing tools like; QC, QTP, Win Runner etc.
•Clear understanding of various technology disciplines (.NET, SQL, VB, Mainframe, AS400, Server, Network and Telecommunications)
•Previous experience testing Web and .NET applications.
•Knowledgeable on Automation Tools:
o HP Quick Test Professional
o Ranorex
o SoapUI
o Selenium
o CuCumber
