We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial tasks, with a focus on floor care, commercial cleaning, and general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping
- Conduct industrial cleaning duties as needed to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with residential painting projects when required, ensuring quality finishes.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and break rooms by regularly sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Collaborate with the custodial team to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial services or as a porter is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment for all facility users.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.54 - $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week (1099) payday is on the fifth and the 20th of each month
