Job Overview:
As part of the Vehicle Processing Center driver team, your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations. You will ensure that vehicles are handled with care and transported between departments, from the initial point of rest through processing, and finally to the designated parking areas for pick-up by car haulers. Additionally, you will assist with production tasks related to accessorizing and function testing of vehicle accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Handling: Scan, inspect, and drive vehicles across the facility following work orders, ensuring they are correctly parked at each location.
Outdoor Work: Expect to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Support Tasks: Fueling vehicles, removing protective plastic, running computerized checks, and transferring vehicles between accessory installation and pre-delivery/shipping departments.
Pre-Delivery Services: Potential training in pre-delivery tasks and LED installations.
Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality inspections of each vehicle throughout the process.
Minimum Requirements:
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with others and follow instructions to complete tasks accurately.
Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly, both individually and within groups.
Language Skills: Ability to understand and execute tasks based on verbal and written instructions in English.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift/push/pull at least 35 lbs at or above shoulder height, stand and walk on concrete and asphalt surfaces for extended periods, and maintain full range of motion to inspect vehicles.
License and Driving Record: Valid driver’s license in the assigned state with a clean motor vehicle record for the past three years.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
Weather Adaptability: Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
Work Flexibility: Willingness to work fluctuating overtime, including Saturdays, and adapt to changing work assignments and tasks.
Quality and Productivity: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work efficiently.
Background Check: Must pass background and drug screening requirements.
Driving Skills: Ability to drive a 5-speed/manual transmission is advantageous.
Mechanical Aptitude: Any experience in mechanical tasks, assembly, or production is a plus.
Location-Specific Requirement: Must attend worksite locating in Commerce, GA, each workday.
