Harriet Tubman School of Science & Technology is a new K-3rd grade charter school that has reimagined public education. HTCSAT opens its doors in August of 2019. Our school is the first computer science elementary school in Georgia. We have infused computer science and technology into everyday student academic life. The innovative K-3rd school is preparing current and future generations of children with the subject mastery and skills to succeed in college and life. We now need a results-driven Elementary School Teacher to join our school community.
Key responsibilities include:
Building a classroom culture in which students love learning;
Closing Achievement gaps through curriculum and technology
Teaching students through an inquiry-based, rigorous curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity and enables all students to thrive;
Developing strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in school culture and academics;
Driving academic outcomes by analyzing data, studying student work, and implementing high leverage instructional moves to ensure dramatic gains for all students; and
Training with colleagues and school leaders to receive targeted, in-the-moment feedback on instruction, as well as unparalleled support and professional development.

Willingness to learn about new technologies
Successful candidates should also have the following experiences and characteristics. They:
Have lead teaching experience with a proven record of propelling student growth;
Hold a Bachelorâs degree with an outstanding record of academic achievement and extracurricular leadership;
Possess a GPA of cumulative 3.0 or higher(transcripts required) or equivalent of 3 years teaching experience with evidence of closing achievement gaps.
Are a person of high moral character and strong work ethic
Are passionate about learning.
Understands that all children can excel if the school and teacher provide proper conditions
Strong Math and/or Science Skills
