About the Position
I’m seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Home Assistant to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient household. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and can manage a variety of tasks each week with consistency.
This is a long-term position for the right person. Training and clear instructions will be provided, but I’m looking for someone who can eventually take initiative and help keep the home running smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities
Cleaning & Home Care
General house cleaning: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting
Kitchen upkeep: counters, appliances, dishes (when needed), trash removal
Bathroom cleaning: toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors
Bedroom/living area tidying and upkeep
Deep cleaning tasks as needed (e.g., baseboards, fridge clean-outs, oven cleaning)
Organization
Organizing closets, cabinets, drawers, pantry, etc.
Creating simple systems to help keep spaces tidy
Managing household inventory (toiletries, cleaning supplies, pantry items)
Meal Prep & Kitchen Tasks
Basic meal prep: chopping vegetables, portioning meals, following simple recipes
Washing and prepping fruits/veggies
Labeling and storing prepared meals
Light dishwashing and kitchen reset after meal prep
Errands & Household Management
Grocery shopping
Picking up packages
Dropping off/picking up dry cleaning or returns
Running miscellaneous errands as needed
Occasional help with small household projects (organizing storage areas, seasonal tasks, etc.)
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
Detail-oriented and takes pride in neatness and organization
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills
Comfortable with physical tasks and moving around the house
Has reliable transportation for errands
Experience in housekeeping, personal assisting, nannying, or meal prep is a plus
Must be comfortable maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a private home
Hours & Schedule
3 days per week
Typically 3–5 hours per day
Daytime hours preferred (anytime between 9am–6pm)
Flexible scheduling as long as there is consistency week-to-week
Compensation
$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Paid weekly or biweekly (your preference)
