Sommelier & Service Manager

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to curate and manage our wine program, provide exceptional wine service, enhance the guest dining experience through expert recommendations and pairings, and assist the GM with front of house management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update the wine list in alignment with the restaurant’s menu and seasonal offerings.

Advise guests on wine selections, pairing wines with menu items to enhance flavor profiles.

Conduct wine service, including opening, decanting, and pouring.

Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage.

Train front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service techniques.

Organize wine tastings, events, and promotional activities.

Monitor wine sales performance and adjust offerings to meet business goals.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar wine-focused role.

Certification from a recognized wine education body (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET) preferred.

Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, and food pairings.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capability to lift and carry wine cases (up to 40 lbs).
