Assistant needed; Detailer is having hand surgery, being one handed for some time, will require help with wash services. Applicants primarily roll, being two handed, will be using a 4ft to 12 ft. telescopic handle wash brush. Some upper body strength required, reaching overhead, etc. washing, while still maintaining good balance from a stationary position on the dock and vessels. We provide service to approximately 35 Motor Yachts, Cruisers, Houseboats, Sailboats, and related Water Craft on Lake Lanier.
This is not an hourly position, pay is $100 a day, four to six hours a day, three days a week, sometimes four days. Usually Tues, Wed, Thursday, some Mondays, almost never on Fridays. Start time daily will vary, usually 10:00 to11:00am. Ideally, 40+ degrees outside is comfortable enough to be on the docks and still be productive.
Boats are all on a year round rotation wash schedule, so applicant will be working on clean well maintained boats. Our job is to keep them that way! Position is temporary, 6 to 8 weeks, possibly longer. Quality workmanship and attention to detail is paramount.
Applicant needs to be alcohol and drug free, in good shape, be able to climb while working, maintaining three points of contact when moving about the vessels at all times! Duties include; washing boats, wiping them down with microfiber towels to mitigate water spots, squeegee windows, some minor housekeeping, and tidying up Clients dock area. This is a "Contract Labor" (1099) Assistant Detailer position, part time and will start either the second or third week in January.
We'll be working at Holiday Marina, in Buford, Ga. University Yacht Club, and Safe Harbor (Aqualand) in Flowery Branch, Ga. Deck Boots required
