Fast growing dog training/boarding/daycare facility is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. We are looking for someone dependable, with a positive attitude that wants to help us continue to grow our business. Will work approximately 25-35 hours per week. Pay will be based on experience.

Responsibilities:

Take Reservations over the phone, through email and in person.

Conducting Temperament Tests on dogs for potential boarding and/or daycare

Check in and Check out pets

Supervise and manage staff to ensure all tasks are being done efficiently and properly

Work as a team with other staff to ensure a high quality of animal welfare is maintained.

Keep track of inventory and maintenance issues.

Provide loving care to all animals including feeding, administering medications, bathing, and cleaning enclosures.

Keep the boarding facility clean. Dispose of trash, recyclables and animal waste.

Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dish washing, etc. Clean animal housing, bedding and dishes.

Follow safety and sanitation policies throughout the facility.

Supervise, train, and coach staff based on company standards and training guidelines.

Qualifications:

We would prefer previous experience in animal care operations

Passion to help and take care of animals

Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Able to lift at least 50lbs

Very Flexible Availability. Able to work between 7am and 7pm. Must be available Weekends and Holidays.

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle and direct phone contact

Able to handle a variety of sizes/breeds of canines safely and comfortably

Must have excellent public relations skills

Must have great independent work ethic, organizational skills and time management skills.
