Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated, friendly, and responsible DOG LOVERS to join our team as Scoop Technicians. Scoop Technicians are responsible for driving to assigned sites and efficiently removing dog waste from residential and commercial properties, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation for our clients.

Partial uniforms are provided; you will need to supply your own pants and have the option to upgrade uniforms. LOTS OF WALKING AND LIFTING

We are looking for a unicorn and we are willing to pay for it (we pay $5 an hour more than our competitors!). We are a woman-owned, local company and we want to work with people who want to grow with us. There is a $500 bonus after working with us for 6 months. We also offer bonuses and competitions and have a really fun working environment.

Must live within 20 minutes of Duluth and love to drive

Reliable transportation - You will be using your vehicle sometimes and our company vehicle other times.

The ability to lift up to 30 pounds

A working smartphone

Ability to clean 25-30 yards per 8 hour shift (post training)

Responsibilities:

Greet our customers at their homes and be the the first face they see from our company

Conduct regular visits to assigned properties to perform dog waste removal services.

Safely and efficiently remove dog waste from yards, lawns, and common areas using provided equipment and supplies.

Dispose of collected waste in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

Inspect assigned properties for any additional waste or sanitation concerns, reporting findings to management as needed.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.

Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time spent at each property and any additional tasks completed.

Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize service delivery and achieve company goals.

Offer customers upgraded services that align with their needs to increase sales.

You’ll be working independently with minimal supervision. Please be aware that working outdoors means being exposed to ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. Unless conditions are unsafe (e.g., thunderstorms or extreme weather), work will proceed in rain, snow, heat, or cold. The nature of the job involves handling pet waste with tools and trash bags, and you may encounter odors and other natural elements.

Bonuses are available for excellent customer service, new client leads, and outstanding performance.

Additional Expectations:

Must love dogs of all kinds and be comfortable around large or barking dogs. While we avoid properties with known aggressive dogs, you will interact daily with excited, sometimes jumping, dogs.

Must have a clean driving record and be comfortable with long driving routes.

A sense of humor and a pleasant attitude will go a long way in making this job enjoyable.

Physical demands include frequent walking, bending, and lifting, making this a fast-paced and active role.

Honesty, efficiency, and a love for the outdoors are essential for success.

Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions, and must be able to communicate clearly with clients and our office.

Must be able to use a GPS.

Must show up to work on time (and an interview if selected to have an interview).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in outdoor labor, home service, or related fields is preferred but not required. (Lawn Care, Amazon, Extermination, Etc.)

Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using GPS and following detailed instructions.

Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time to Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20-40 per week
