About Us:
United Granite Distributors Inc is a distribution company dedicated to delivering exceptional granite, quartz,quartzite and marble to our customers. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Warehouse Associate that can unload slabs from containers to join our team.
Job Summary:
Currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for Slab Unloading/Driver/Forklift Operator to unload granite, quartzite, marble and quartz slabs from containers using forklift, deliver slabs in a small flatbed Truck and move slabs in the warehouse or load customer pickup vehicles. This personnel should have experience in pulling granite bundles out from the containers using forklift equipment while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Unloading/: Unloading Slabs from containers using appropriate equipment and secure it properly to prevent damage when material is received.
Loading/Handling: slabs in warehouse for customer pickup and delivery
Operate company-owned Forklifts and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all laws and regulations.
Deliver Slabs: to Customer sites using small company truck (No special license needed)
Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of materials. Must report all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia License Required
- Valid Work permit Required
- Certified Forklift Operator, strong understanding of forklift operation
- Experience in unloading granite slabs bundles from containers
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 15-30 lbs
- May be required to safely lift up to 70 lbs sometime.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Applicant will be screened for a 10-panel drug test and comprehensive Background search
