We're Hiring! Accessibility Technician at NextDay Access

Job Summary:

NextDay Access is seeking a dedicated and reliable Service Technician to join our team. The role involves traveling within a designated service territory throughout the week to perform evaluations and installations of mobility and accessibility equipment, including modular aluminum handicap ramps, grab bars, and other related products. You will work directly with customers and businesses, following work orders and manufacturer specifications while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.

Position Overview:

Conducting on-site evaluations of customers' homes and businesses to determine the appropriate equipment and installation needs.

Creating job layout plans, specifying equipment, labor, and site requirements.

Installing and servicing mobility and accessibility products according to work orders, safety procedures, and code compliance.

Following safety protocols and ensuring the proper functioning of all installed equipment.

Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers, staff, and the branch office regarding daily activities, service issues, and product needs.

Promoting the company’s products and services to new and existing customers.

Providing customers with accurate product information and documentation.

Completing all required production forms and reports on time.

Safely operating a company vehicle and maintaining a clean and operational vehicle.

Managing warehouse inventory and reporting stock levels to the Branch Manager.

Performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and protocols.

Exhibiting professionalism and a sense of urgency in addressing customer needs and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable equipment.

Sketch job layout plans and estimate requirements.

Install products according to specifications and safety codes.

Troubleshoot and resolve installation/service issues.

Maintain vehicle and tools in proper working condition.

Report daily activities, issues, and product needs to the Branch Manager.

Safeguard company property and customer information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic mechanical and technical skills.

Proficiency with power tools and equipment.

Experience with job costing, site layout, and estimating.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.

Strong mathematical skills (basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and perform tasks in varying weather and site conditions.

Proven ability to promote and sell products in a customer-facing environment.

Comfortable using technology (tablet, smartphone, GPS, company software).

Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and maintain a clean driving record.

Compensation:

Annual Salary: $40,000 based on experience
