Beacon Hill Associates is seeking a highly qualified Graphic Designer for a contract-to-hire position located in Cumming, GA. This role specializes in graphic design and plate preparation for our client's printing operations. The position involves working closely with the Graphics department to ensure proofs are accurately set up, printing plates are created, and all materials are press-ready in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-office, 5 days a week opportunity.Daily Duties: Assist with setting up and adjusting graphic proofs to meet customer specifications before printing.Prepare and create printing plates based on approved graphics and ensure they are correctly formatted for press.Collaborate with the Graphics team to troubleshoot any design-related issues before plates go to press.Ensure all printing plates align with production needs and are ready for scheduled orders.Maintain accurate documentation of plate creation and any adjustments made to proofs.Following proper storage procedures, organize and return plates to their corresponding job jackets after use.Support the Graphics and Production teams by maintaining design quality throughout the printing process.Ideal candidate:Previous experience in graphic design, particularly within a printing production environment.Strong understanding of print design requirements, including file formats, color separations, and plate-making processes.Detail-oriented with the ability to review and adjust proofs for high-quality printing results.Ability to manage multiple design tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.Strong organizational skills to track, store, and retrieve printing plates efficiently.Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the Graphics, Production, and Customer Service teams.If you have a background in graphic design and are looking for an opportunity to apply your skills in a hands-on printing production role, apply today!Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
