Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and versatile Materials Handling Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on a wide range of materials handling equipment, including forklifts, industrial EVs, and related machinery. This role requires a hands-on professional who is passionate about maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various materials handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, industrial EVs, and burden carriers.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately and efficiently.
Conduct equipment overhauls and refurbishments as needed, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.
Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of all services performed.
Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers about the status of their equipment and any additional needs.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet service deadlines and customer expectations.
Travel to customer sites as required to perform onsite repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a materials handling equipment technician or similar role.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment.
Certification or training in forklift repair, industrial EV maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for onsite work).
