Job Title: Worship Production Manager (Sound and Audio Technician)
Reports to: Worship Pastor/Director of Music
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Worship Production Manager (Sound and Audio Technician) to join our church team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sound and audio for our church choir, worship services, and online streaming.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Service Preparation
1. Conduct sound checks before services to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
2. Set up and test microphones, speakers, and audio equipment.
During Services
1. Operate soundboard and mixing console to achieve optimal sound quality.
2. Monitor and adjust audio levels, EQ, and compression.
3. Troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
Streaming and Recording
1. Set up and operate streaming equipment for online services.
2. Record and edit sermons and special events.
Maintenance and Improvement
1. Perform routine maintenance on audio equipment.
2. Research and recommend upgrades or new equipment.
Collaboration
1. Work closely with the Worship Pastor, musicians, and other technicians.
2. Communicate effectively with volunteers and staff.
Requirements
Technical Skills
1. Proficiency in soundboard operation (e.g., Allen & Heath, Yamaha).
2. Knowledge of audio software (e.g., Ableton, Pro Tools).
3. Familiarity with streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook).
Experience
1. 2+ years of experience in sound and audio technician roles.
2. Church or live event sound experience preferred.
Soft Skills
1. Attention to detail and problem-solving.
2. Excellent communication and teamwork.
Working Conditions
1. Sunday mornings required
2. Occasional weeknights for meetings, rehearsals, or special events.
3. Must be able to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Compensation
1. 60,000.00
