I am looking for someone to help part time (half days a few days a week) with an online reselling business.
I am a 1 man show and have operated this business out of my home office for 12 years. The job takes about a week to learn, and potential hires will get paid for the training process of course. Pay is given at the end of each day.
This job pays $15 an hour and is great for students or anyone needing flexible hours in the afternoon or evening. The work environment is lax, no dress code, music and food is fine (within reason), hires have their own private bathroom, scheduling is very flexible and there is a $2 raise after 6 months.
You will be required to perform a variety of duties which will vary based on the needs that day.
However, most of the time the job consists of the following duties:
Creating, listing, but mostly processing, packing and shipping online orders from Ebay, Walmart, Mercari, Poshmark, Etsy, Offer Up, Craigslist and Facebook marketplace.
Data entry of sales info into a google sheets workbook.
Skills needed:
Know their way around Windows 11, Google's ecosystem such as mail, docs, sheets, shopping, photos, drive etc
Must be reasonably technically literate, a reasonably fast typer, and have the ability to utilize and discover shortcuts to accelerating routine tasks faster and unlearn old ways if needed.
Must have good communication skills and can relearn or unlearn things easily. I prefer someone who is not afraid to ask questions if they don't understand something, regardless of what it is. Asking is always better than assuming for this sort of work.
After a brief acclimation period, you can set your own work schedule/hours within reason. Example: less days but longer shifts, shorter but more frequent shifts, non-traditional shifts like late evening, split day shifts (half shift in AM, half shift in PM), I am pretty flexible in this regard.
