Beacon Hill Associates is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a contract position in Atlanta, GA. This role will support the Human Resources team in managing payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll processing experience, including Workday proficiency, multi-state payroll expertise, and a strong understanding of compliance regulations.Daily Duties:Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly US payrolls, ensuring accurate inputs and calculations.Perform data entry for new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves of absence, payroll adjustments, and deductions.Handle payroll-related tax changes, direct deposits, loan repayments, retroactive adjustments, and special payments.Reconcile payroll-related accounts, prepare summary reports, and manage internal and external audit requests.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data within Workday.Process forgivable loans and 401(k) uploads, track PTO balances and collaborate with HR and benefits advisors.Assist with quarterly and annual tax reporting at the state and federal levels.Support year-end processes, address verification, and compliance checks.Train team members and provide cross-training for backup payroll functions.Ideal Candidate:Experience: 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience (global payroll experience is a plus).Workday Expertise: Must have experience processing payroll in Workday and be comfortable managing payroll operations within the platform.Payroll & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with HR employment law, OSHA, COVID-19 compliance ordinances, and I-9/tax form processing.Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online collaboration tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.Team Player & Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.Industry Experience: Previous experience in a small to mid-size global professional services company is preferred.If you have payroll expertise, Workday experience, and a strong understanding of compliance, APPLY today to join our team!Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
