Southern Thrift Market is looking for a dynamic, customer-focused and responsible store manager to oversee the daily operations of our large, busy, upscale thrift store. We would like you to ensure a high standard of service, quality, and organization while promoting a welcoming and positive shopping experience for customers. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or nights. Full time position with benefits available such as vacation pay, sick pay & bonuses. Some experience is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage staff and volunteers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, resolve customer inquiries and concerns, and ensure a friendly and welcoming store atmosphere.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage donations, organize sorting, pricing, and merchandising of donated items, and ensure proper stock levels.
Sales and Financials: Monitor sales goals and performance, develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, manage cash register functions, and ensure accurate financial records.
Donations Management: Ensure timely processing and organization of donated items, encourage community donations, and maintain proper records.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to store policies, health and safety regulations, and other legal compliance requirements.
Reporting: Track daily sales, inventory, and staff schedules, and report any issues to senior management.
