Our client, an international software company and leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Technical Consultant with a Java Backend Development background to work in a full-time permanent position in Atlanta, GA (Battery Area). The salary range is in the $100k to $125k range with a $7k+ bonus incentive. Available for direct w-2 full-time employment only. This is a hybrid position that allows two days remote. (Requires you to be on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday)

In this role, you will be working as a Technical Consultant and Software Engineer and will help media companies implement state-of-the-art Content Management Software. You will lead the technical aspect of implementing and customizing the platform as a headless CMS and Digital Asset Management system at large media companies and integrate it with other systems, platforms, services, and tools. Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Consultant (Sr. Java Backend Developer):

• Lead the technical part of delivering projects of various sizes for customers worldwide in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Play a central role in projects, guiding customer teams throughout the implementation, development, and integration processes.
• Hands-on backend development (business logic, REST APIs, and Database connectivity) using Java, REST, AWS, Docker, and various database technology.
• The technical stack of the application is Java Backend, Node/PHP front end, GIT, Apache Tomcat, Apache SOLR, Linux, and various database technologies.
• Configure standard solutions and ensure interfaces between systems.
• Work closely with our Custom Development team to ensure customized development, if necessary.
• Training of clients' development teams, troubleshooting, and more.

Requirements and qualifications for the Senior Technical Consultant (Sr. Java Backend Developer):

• Three or more years of professional Java development experience with a focus on Backend development (Core Java, REST APIs, database connectivity, business logic)
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. preferably in a technical discipline (Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.)
• Solid Linux or other Unix-based operating system experience.
• You are customer-oriented in converting requirements into solutions and are strong in analysis, conceptual design, communication, and implementation.
• Understanding of agile software development principles

Preferred Skills:

• AWS
• Previous experience working in professional services or consulting
• Previous experience working in a scrum-based team is a plus
