Job Title: Fiber Technician
Location: Fayetteville, GA 30214
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5x10's (with potential weekend work if necessary). The start time is 5 AM but may change to a night shift for the first few weeks, so candidates must be flexible.
Pay Rate: $25-$32+/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking 10 experienced Fiber Technicians for an exciting project in Fayetteville, GA. The Fiber Technician will be responsible for all aspects of fiber installation, termination, testing, and splicing, with a focus on precision and quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (LC, SC, ST, FC, FDDI, SMA, MPO/MTP connectors for multi-mode and single-mode fiber)
Perform fusion and mechanical splicing for all types of fiber cables
Install and terminate copper cables (CAT 3 & CAT 5) as needed
Build and install closets, including cross-connects, racks, and patch panels
Perform testing using OTDR and Fluke DTX 180; troubleshoot network issues end-to-end
Work in various environments including confined spaces and at heights
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-4 years of fiber installation experience
Proficiency in terminating both multi-mode and single-mode fiber systems
Experience with OTDR and PMLS testing & troubleshooting systems
Ability to perform fusion and mechanical splicing
Experience with Data Center installations and OSP/Confined Space Entry is a plus
Must be flexible with shift times, as work may start on a night shift
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
Ability to work at heights and distinguish different colors
Possess proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as Corning/FOA
3-5 years of experience in fiber and data center environments
Experience with mechanical and fusion splicing, OSP, and confined space entry
