A Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs. This role often involves both hands-on work and collaboration with other teams to optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Repair or replace faulty components and equipment.
Preventive Maintenance:
Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance activities.
Documentation:
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance history and spare parts inventory.
Collaboration:
Work with production teams, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to identify and resolve issues.
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Safety:
Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Ensure that equipment and machinery are operating safely and efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
