Job description:
The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trailers used in logistics operations. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that trailers are in safe and operational condition. The Trailer Mechanic works closely with the logistics team to minimize downtime, maximize trailer utilization, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Complete PM inspections.
Complete DOT inspections.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment with diagnostic laptop.
Repair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, air conditioning system, suspension system, drive trains, electrical systems, steering systems, and braking systems.
Complete all documentation needed (work orders, parts orders, inspection sheets) in a accurate and timely manner.
Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of performing quality class 8 truck repairs.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Possess great work ethics and customer service skills.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
