SafeRide America is a long-established 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing professional designated driver services throughout the Metro Atlanta area. This is not rideshare, not gig driving, and not casual work. This is a high-responsibility driving role for mature, professional drivers who value safety, reliability, and professionalism. ABOUT THE ROLE Drive the customer and their vehicle safely home Work as part of a two-person team Represent a nonprofit whose mission is preventing impaired driving Interact with customers, volunteers, and the public professionally If you are looking for shortcuts, guaranteed hourly pay, or a casual side hustle, this role is not a good fit. LEAD DRIVER REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet all of the following: Age 25 or older Valid Georgia driver’s license for 3+ years Clean driving record (no DUIs or reckless driving within the past 7 years) No at-fault accidents within the past 36 months Own a personal vehicle Carry full coverage auto insurance (collision & comprehensive required) Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures SCREENING & ONBOARDING This is a safety-sensitive position. Qualified applicants must be willing to: Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check Pass a national criminal background check Pass an initial 10-panel drug test Participate in ongoing screening as required Complete mandatory training and a supervised shadow shift SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION SafeRide operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with the highest demand during evenings and weekends. Compensation is performance-based: 30% of each completed ride fare 100% of all tips are kept by the Lead Driver Earnings vary based on demand, nights worked, and ride volume.
