We are attending KubeCon 2025 to connect with developer-focused companies and gather insights on developer marketing trends. We’re looking for a freelance writer/researcher to assist with survey collection during the event and create a post-conference report based on the findings. The final deliverables will be an informal whitepaper and a short email campaign to share results with participants.
1. At the Conference (Nov 11–13)
- Attend the event in Atlanta for 4 hours/day (10am–2pm).
- Walk the conference floor with our team, assisting in conducting 5–8 minute surveys via iPad (provided).
- Record responses, take light notes, and distribute informational materials.
- Help ensure we collect 20–50 completed surveys from clients, prospects, and exhibitors.
2. Post-Conference Deliverables
- Data Cleaning & Organization: Review and clean survey responses for clarity and consistency.
- Report Writing: Create a 5–12 page casual but insightful blog-style report (whitepaper) featuring:
- Key findings and trends
- Data visualizations/graphs (minimal design; templates or tools like Google Sheets are fine)
- Anecdotal insights and quotes from attendees
- Revisions: Incorporate up to two rounds of feedback from our team.
- Email Campaign: Draft 3–5 follow-up emails thanking participants and inviting them to download the report.
Event dates: November 11–13, 2025
Report draft due: Within 3 weeks of event conclusion
Final report & emails delivered: Within 1 month of event conclusion
Conference ticket, lunch, and coffee will be provided.
Freelancer must arrange and cover their own transportation to/from the event.
iPad and survey form will be provided by Draft.dev.
Required Experience:
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Experience creating data-driven reports, whitepapers, or surveys.
- Comfort in a fast-paced conference environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with developer tools, DevRel, or B2B tech marketing.
