And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.We are looking for:The Maintenance Manager reports to the Site Technical Services Manager and will oversee and manage all maintenance activities in a large-scale chemical plant. This includes ensuring optimal equipment reliability, enforcing safety standards, and minimizing downtime through effective preventive maintenance programs. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in chemical plant equipment, and the ability to work in a PSM environment.We count on you for:Maintenance Planning & Execution:

Coordinate and schedule all maintenance and shutdown activities to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Ensure timely and efficient repairs of machinery, electrical systems, piping, and instrumentation equipment.

Team Management:

Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and other staff.

Ensure team members adhere to safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times.

Manage performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure continuous skill development of the maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety protocols and plant-specific standards.

Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on equipment and procedures.

Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.

Budget Management:

Manage the maintenance department’s budget, including labor, spare parts, and equipment replacement costs.

Develop cost-saving strategies without compromising equipment reliability or safety.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for improving maintenance practices and equipment reliability.

Implement industry best practices to drive maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Monitor maintenance KPIs, analyze team and equipment performance data, and develop action plans for improvement.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

Source and manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Minimum of 5-7 years of maintenance experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industrial plant.

Previous leadership experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

Ability to keep track of and report on activity

Strong negotiating/influencing skills; change agent

Safety leadership experience

Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies

Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS)

Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations

Competitive salary and benefits package

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $103,360 to $129,200 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
