PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking an industrial carpenter to work on projects located in Augusta, GA. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys a variety of projects, and can work independently or as part of a crew. Each day begins by meeting at our shop before heading out to different industrial job sites in the area, so flexibility and reliability are key. This position is paying up to $27 an hour (based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including formwork, framing, finishing, and painting
- Assist with concrete pouring and other general construction duties as needed
- Travel with the crew to various industrial job sites from the shop each day
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an industrial or construction carpenter
- Ability to read and understand blueprints accurately
- Must have reliable transportation to the shop, own tools, and proper PPE
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work full-time (40 hours per week)
