Island Service Group, a trusted locally owned business based in Southeast Georgia & Northeast Florida, is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and light commercial installations and pride ourselves on exceptional service, professionalism, and craftsmanship.
Position Overview:
As our Lead HVAC Installer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and executing HVAC installations from start to finish. You’ll work closely with our project managers and service teams to ensure systems are installed efficiently, up to code, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role for a reliable leader who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a tight-knit team.
What You'll Do:
Lead installation of HVAC systems, including split systems, package units, ductwork, and mini-splits
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes
Troubleshoot, test, and commission newly installed systems
Maintain clear communication with team members, clients, and office staff
Supervise and mentor junior installers or apprentices as needed
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Drive company vehicle to and from job sites
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC installation experience
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
Strong understanding of HVAC system layouts and installation best practices
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer-first attitude
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders
Willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions across NE Florida and SE Georgia
Preferred Qualifications:
NATE certification
Experience leading small installation crews
Familiarity with both residential and light commercial systems
