Record all abnormalities on the round and sheet and review with the Shift Supervisor.Assists the control room operator and shift supervisor through onsite inspection and operation of plant systems and gains the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the next career progression level.Monitors plant operation through visual inspection.Isolates equipment for maintenance repairs and tags equipment parts, inspects, reports on status and activates remote control mechanisms on plant systems. Monitors and maintains oil levels for plant equipmentPerforms light maintenance activities and operation requirements of the Preventive Maintenance Program.Maintain work area in an organized and  clean mannerPerforms miscellaneous tasks as directed by shift supervisorAssist Heavy Equipment Operator as directed by the Shift Supervisor.Maintain supply shed in an orderly manner.Empty metal bins as neededRemove overs form BC3.Maintain all housekeeping around fuel receiving and delivery conveyors.Loading of flyash and Bottom ash trucks.Operate all equipment in a safe and acceptable manner.Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.Ensures that assigned tools, equipment and work area are properly maintained and secured.Assists Mechanical Maintenance, I&C and Operations as required.Shall use Three-Way radio communication to ensure clear radio communications. Complete any other task as directed by the Supervisor, Control Room Operator and/or Operations Manager.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work Environment:  Spends 100% of the time in operations environment.  May need to work outside in inclement weather conditions and drive company vehicle to perform duties.Possible Work Hazards:  May be exposed to possible operations hazards including fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, heavy machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work environment temperatures, slippery surfaces, water hazards and electrical equipment.Physical Demands:  Amount of time spent – Standing 25%, Walking 75% for as many as five miles per shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and enter confined spaces.  May be required to use ladders or stairs. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds).  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Requires close visual observation to detect process non-conformance and machine malfunction
