Career Opportunity:The Paper Machine Superintendent directs and leads the production operations of one or more paper machine(s) in the assigned facility. This position is responsible for creating a safe work environment, executing and continuously improving the quality, productivity, efficiency and cost of the operation. Prefer Bacheloru2019s Degree in an Engineering discipline or commensurate experience (High School Diploma or Equivalent required).
Paper machine experience to include about 5+ years of operations/engineering experience and about 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Capability to coordinate with site procurement for purchasing needs
Ability/Experience collaborating with maintenance leaders to set priorities and authorize spending on paper machine
Knowledge and involvement of budgeting and operations planning. Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling processes
Understanding of product cost, purchasing procedures & guidelines
Knowledge of Indicators (yield, speed, chemical input, etc)
Reporting of Budgeting and Forecasting Processes
Understanding of Safety, Health and Environmental
Plus:
Lean Six Sigma is a plus
Statistical Analysis is a plus
