Responsibilities

HYBRID: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

This Software Engineer position is for a member on the Base Team that supports various common applications and services supporting all lines of business. We are looking for a Software Engineer that is an excellent developer along with being creative in developing solutions that will work for the enterprise.

Online Data Aggregation for online viewing
Customer Agreement Summary (CAS) - provides Customers registered thru Statefarm.com with the ability to view and access insurance policies, bank and mutual fund accounts information on the My Accounts and State Farm Mobile applications.
Customer View Agreement retrieval (CVAR) - Identifies policies and accounts that may be viewed online and accessed via Insurance Bill Pay, Customer Care Account Tool-Service, Mutual Funds, and more.
Customer Capability Retrieval (CCR) - returns a list of agreements and the enabled changes which can be made for those agreements, based on rules provided by Personal Lines Modernization.
Validate users and route users for online quoting
Application Router - application takes requests from customers and sales associates, checks licensing where applicable, and routes the request to the Welcome page of the appropriate quote and purchase application.
Quotability Determination (QDS) - turns on and off the ability for Customers and Sales Associates to quote Auto and Fire quotes/applications based on location and other factors. Also is able to turn on and off the Auto purchase functionality for Customers and Sales Associates. In the case of weather, legislative or any other business event, quote and purchase can be turned off in real time.
Authorization Eligibility Management (AEM) - centralizes the licensing/authorization checks for Sales Associates when creating or retrieving quotes
Incumbency: This position will have a 18-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Employees may be considered for leadership or Technology Engineer openings at any time, and a promotional position within the same job structure (i.e. Professional/Technical or Paraprofessional/Support) after 6 months from the effective date of the position. In these cases, the remaining incumbency would be waived. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
