Job DescriptionInframark is seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Supervisor to lead our grounds maintenance team working at Fort Moore, GA.Job Summary: The Grounds Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and landscaping of outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and well-kept. This role involves managing a team of groundskeepers, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise ground maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee the care and maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, and shrubs, including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
Manage irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and maintenance.
Plan and implement landscape projects, including planting, mulching, and hardscaping.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for grounds and equipment.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized grounds projects.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Prepare and manage the grounds maintenance budget.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in horticulture, landscape management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of horticulture practices, landscape design, and irrigation systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to operate and maintain various grounds maintenance equipment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license; certifications in pesticide application or irrigation systems are a plus.
