Control the machine speed to produce a quality product at a maximum level of output.
Check bundle count on first handful as it leaves the C/E.
Check stacking plan, load tags, and unit count on first load.
At start up, set aside two bundles of quality boxes to use as as replacement boxes for defects.
Pull all defectives found during inspection and replace with good box from bundles set aside.
Confirm that final count matches bundle spec. (Replace same number as defects pulled)
Count scrap boxes to confirm equal # of replacements. If this number is incorrect, add difference to final unit.
Check and fold up at least one box per unit. Check and maintain constant ink and glue flow.
Watch for and react to jam-ups. Stack all bad sheets for reuse; waste to scrap cart.
Check to make sure the MDC system is operating correctly during the beginning, middle, and end of each order.
Use center-line on set-up at all times and raise pre-feeder up and run back.
Zero machine, open machine, and lock out; start wash up.
Set anilox rolls to zero. Pull old print dies.
Check flow card, print card, construction card and print die number.
Hang print die for next order. Set pull rolls.
Set kicker and stroke. Set calibration and registrations from center line sheet.
Help crew members if necessary. Close machine. Ink machine.
Run box through to check all dimensions. Set stacker and bundler for upcoming order.
Keep sheets picked up on stacker or feeder while running order.
Use the run procedures to assure machine run is performed correctly.
