Join us, and we can make a difference together.About this roleAs a Carrier HVAC Rental Service Technician , you'll be a part of Carrier's Rental Systems network and considered a technical expert, providing HVAC equipment repair and installation solutions for products under warranty. Plus, we'll support your growth with paid-for external training programs and growth opportunities.Key Responsibilities:As an expert HVAC technician , the role will involve the following:
Service, troubleshoot, and clean HVAC equipment and related products, including but not limited to air-cooled and water-cooled systems up to 1,000 tons and Hot water boilers up to 200 hp.
Maintain, service, and install rental systems
Maintain accurate field service reports, including refrigerant tracking and timekeeping logs
Regular use of power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment to service and repair rental systems as needed
Operate equipment vehicles, including forklifts
Load and unload trucks
Communicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers
Perform other duties to support the business as needed, including inventory count, general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, and organizing
Basic QualificationsWe are looking for someone who can manage time effectively and communicate proficiently with customers. You will also need the following:
High school diploma or GED
1+ years of HVAC experience
1+ year experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
The ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Valid Driver's License
Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain one
EPA Universal license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
EPA 608 Universal license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
Preferred QualificationsOther experience and qualities you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
Associate degree or HVAC technical certification
HVAC Rentals experience
