The Director of Networking and Telecommunications leads planning, projects, and technical operations for the College's data networks, telecommunications systems, video surveillance systems, and access control systems.
This is a 3 month assignment and the selected candidate will be able to apply for the permanent position:
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Required Work Experience
3 years' experience in leadership and management roles including experience with supervision and performance management.
Demonstrated experience serving as a technical project leader.
Demonstrated progressively responsible experience in networking and telecommunications.

Project planning/tracking

Ticketing experience We use SolarWinds.
5 Years
Experience with LAN/WAN architecture
5 Years
Some experience with performance monitoring tools such as PRTG

Experience managing DNS/DHCP

Coordination of 24x7x365 on-call schedule

Experience with Extreme access points
5 Years
Experience with Cisco/HP switches and Cisco ASA

Experience with Palo Alto firewall and GlobalProtect VPN

Experience implementing network segmentation

Experience installing/troubleshooting security cameras

Experience administering call manager and contact center (currently Sangoma and Cisco)

Experience with network design (fiber runs, new construction)

Preferred
Master's degree in a related field and 7 years of experience in leadership and management roles
Relevant certifications
Experience working in public higher education or the public sector
