Currently seeking a live-on-site preschool educator, certified to teach early childhood, for two toddlers at a private home in the North Georgia mountains.
Experience:
We are searching for someone with experience in a preschool and/or Pre-K environment and comfortable with:
- learning through play
- curriculum building
- schedule setting
- meal time and potty training
- experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia styles a plus
- extra languages a plus
- additional skills like gymnastics, dance, sports (at a toddler level) a plus
The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter dedicated to a career with children, but whose employment situation at a school has changed due to Covid-19 with closed classrooms or schools. The candidate has their own reliable transportation, a college degree (along with ECE certification and/or experience), current and up to date CPR training, and will know how to swim.
Other duties included are typical to classroom care: disinfecting, cleaning and tidying play places and eating spaces, some meal prep, and some laundry.
Accommodations:
Live-On-Site educator will have her own guest house 300 feet from the main house with privacy, a full kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Must be comfortable with nature and the outdoors, with wilderness experience a plus. Run ins with deer, wild turkeys, and other animals are common.
