Eternal Ironworks & Welding, LLC is hiring for a full time fabrication/welding position. We have a good mix of shop work and on-site work. We are booked out for 2025 essentially, and I need some help getting these projects out the door. We have a good crew put together, and looking to add 1 more guy to it We're located in Cedartown. We do mostly ornamental handrails, driveway gates, and lots of custom aluminum fabrication, & general mobile welding.
What im looking for:
Must show up on time, & be reliable
Must be a self-starter, and help get the crew started on the next task without supervision. I've had too many guys in the past sit there and watch me work. We're too busy for that now, and I can't tolerate it.
I'm looking for someone who can learn the ropes and grow into a leadership position.
Must catch on to the scope of work being performed for each job and know the next steps to take as far as what needs to be fabbed or welded. I want everything in a well-run order. I need the potential candidate to be one step ahead, and the current crew come in behind to complete each task.
No past history of theft. We work with a lot of high end clients, and a lot of them are listed in Forbes. I've worked hard to build the reputation of this company. I can't afford to lose that reputation with any sort of theft, whatsoever.
Good presentation. I could care less what you do in your personal life. Shop talk is shop talk, but keep your speech professional in front of clients.
Must know how to work off very simple drawings and see the vision of the project from start to finish.
Help come back behind me and do a tool checklist. I'm human, I've got a lot on my mind. I get to thinking too many steps ahead sometimes and will forget items on a checklist. Just being honest- I need some backing. I'm not strict about cell phone usage at all, but I don't want someone else sitting and watching FB reels all day and not thinking about the next task. I've seen it rot too many people's minds on the job. Im looking for a guy who's disciplined and keeps his mind sharp.
We don't have a state of the art shop. It was just me for a long time. Business blew up faster than I expected, and we're in a weird transitionary period. We're acquiring more tools and trucks, but Rome wasn't built in a day. The company will supply all your PPE, and make sure you have everything you need. But for the time, we are making a lot happen without a lot of the fancy equipment.
Attention to detail. Only quality leaves the shop. I'll never be demeaning over a mistake. But understand we will cut a project apart and make it right.
