Weezie is a high end direct to consumer towel company redefining what luxury looks like today. Since our October 2018 launch we have been featured in Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Bustle, Architectural Digest, Garden & Gun, Southern Living, House Beautiful and more.
Weezie is looking for an experienced Art Director to join the company as the first creative hire under the Creative Director & Co-founder. This is a unique opportunity to have a lot of ownership over creative initiatives at Weezie including marketing efforts, social media, photoshoots, the website, physical events and more. You will assist the Creative Director with anything and everything, helping to elevate the brand and shape the development of the creative team as we continue to grow. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Weezie and excited to be an early employee at a fast growing lifestyle brand.
What youâll do:
Social MediaâDesigning the grid, stories, and posts
MarketingâDesigning emails and online advertisements (including motion).
WebsiteâWorking with our developers to make small updates to the website (in Sketch).
PackagingâWorking with our product development team as our packaging continues to evolve
Print CollateralâCreating designs for any necessary print collateral
BrandingâWorking within our existing brand standards but continuing to develop and improve upon our design systemâconsistency and cohesiveness are extremely important
PresentingâAbility to communicate creative visions and concepts to teams outside of the design team
And MoreâThis role will undoubtedly evolve over time. It is important that you are flexible and comfortable with some level of uncertainty as the company continues to grow.
Who you are:
3-4 years creative design experience
You know the Adobe Suite inside and out (motion, keynote, and sketch are a plus)
You are a jack of all trades in the design world and you enjoy working on many different design projects
You have a love for typography and bringing a cohesive brand to life
You know how to follow an established brand identity system
You should be able to bring a specific vision to life in photoshoots, ad creation, social media, etc. while maintaining a brand identity systemâThis includes mood boarding, coming up with unique ideas, and executing
You are self-managed and resourceful with a âno task is too smallâ attitude â you will be responsible for big decisions as well as small ones!
You are organized (especially with photoshoot prep, file organization, email marketing planning, etc.)
You are passionate about Weezie and have a knowledge of our competitors and the DTC space
