Technical Support Manager

Technical Support Manager (Digitus Biometrics, Inc.– Savannah, GA); Multiple positions available. Manage the technical support function of the business. Provide tier-3 technical support to customers including pre-sales, installation, and technical, and ensure the effective management of the quality assurance function. Oversee the company’s RMA function. Maintain a high level of familiarity with the entire product range, including management software, hardware and firmware, and define test procedure/methodologies, perform testing and keep accurate test results. Review all existing technical support procedures while making recommendations for changes and enhancements to the CEO. Work closely with the CEO in order to implement improvements for processes that provide technical support. Review all existing QA procedures in order to make recommendations for changes and enhancements to the CEO. Implement improvements to the QA process. International or domestic travel up to 4 weeks per year required. Position based in Savannah, GA; telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in providing technical support within an information technology company. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in providing technical support within an information technology company, will accept 7 years of experience in the job offered or in providing technical support within an information technology company.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: Planning, designing, installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining networks; TCP, UDP, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and VLANs; Network administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, & Office 365; Custom database design from analysis to delivery; Creating technical documentation including specification documents, test procedures and end user help guides; Designing, implementing, testing, delivering, and supporting web-based applications; Microsoft SQL Server platforms; and, Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems. Experience may be gained concurrently. International or domestic travel required up to 4 weeks per year required. Position based in Savannah, GA; telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
