job detailsjob summary:Well established and stable power utility services organizaiton is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist for a long term contract assignment based in Tucker, GA. Candidate will help support the company's storm water construction permit compliance program. Position will be based near Tucker, GA, and requires about 50% travel to project locations through-out the state of Georgia.location: TUCKER, Georgiajob type: Contractsalary: $32 - 42 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: No Degree Requiredresponsibilities:Provides technical and administrative support for storm water construction permit compliance program. This includes coordination and assistance with the design, review, and implementation of Erosion, Sedimentation, and Pollution Control plans and Section 404 permittingConducts periodic inspections during the construction of electrical substations and transmission lines to provide environmental compliance support while fostering a partnering relationship with all project stakeholders such as Construction Inspectors and Environmental TechniciansProvides input to project teams in determining and evaluting altneratives for construction projects that minimize impacts to the natural environment.Travel up to 50% to project site locations in the state of Georiga.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Ecology, Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, Forestry, Landscape Architecture, Environmental, Natural Resources or 10 years of related experience in environmental planning, design and regulatory compliance.5 + years of experience working in a position that primarily handles construction related environmental compliance with the Clean Water Act.A Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and or a Georgia NPDES Level 2 Certification (plan review or design professional) a plusExperience with ArcGIS and or AutoCADqualifications:
