Are you a tech-savvy leader who thrives on increasing business value by finding the right solutions, optimizing them, and solving problems using technology? Do you have deep experience leveraging both purchased applications and applications development to achieve the best possible outcomes and efficiencies for your users? Have you successfully led applications teams to peak performance levels?

Reporting directly to our CIO, the Director of Applications will be responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation, management, and optimization of the many software products utilized throughout our business. This includes purchased applications, integration development, and custom software development.

Partner with the many business stakeholders to understand their needs, work with the architecture team to develop the best solutions, and engage project management to deliver results. Lead a team of technologists across various applications development and administration disciplines. This highly visible role has responsibility for the most critical applications and development, including Spanx.com

• Lead the full applications team encompassing applications administration and applications development
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver the best process improvements, enabled by technology
• Build and lead a high performing team made up of both Spanx team members and business partners
• Steer and influence applications product management in partnership with business stakeholders. Drive the technical delivery of those roadmaps.
• Partner with architecture to select and implement the best technology in a manner that will maximize capabilities, user experience, and value over the life of the investments
• Determine the right balance of purchased products, integration between best-of-breed solutions, and custom development to maximize returns, capabilities, and experience
• Develop effective relationships with your team, business stakeholders, and vendors
• Foster an environment of continuous development and learning

Qualifications

• Direct management experience leadingapplications developers, SMEs., product managers, and systemsadministrators(7+ year)
• Deep understanding of core business functions and core applications (ERP, CRM, MDM, etc.) enable them
• Solid knowledge of SDLCbest practicesand management
• Prior applications development experience required
• eCommerce experience highly preferred. Consumer-direct ecommerce a plus.
• Deep experience analyzing business processes and delivering the right technology to optimize the process
• Experiencepartnering withproject managersto deliver highly complex multi-phase initiatives
• Workload management & optimizationexpertise
• Intellectually curiousmindsetwith an endless desire to learn everything about a process
• Up to date on the latest software applications offerings as they relate tobusiness
• Excellentproblem-solvingskills
• Effective motivatorandmanagerwho actively mentors their team
