Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePublic Trust/Other Required: NoneJob Family: Network EngineeringJoin General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges.We are seeking an entry-level Network Engineer to support a Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC) project that is a multi-year cloud modernization effort to bring the Navy NOC in Pensacola, FL, into the cloud.The Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) is an organization that controls the replenishment and military transport ships of the United States Navy. Military Sealift Command has the responsibility for providing sealift and ocean transportation for all US military services as well as for other government agencies.These will be remote positions with 50% travel required. We anticipate a start date by 10/1.Typical duties for you include:Design and define network architecture for new or existing computer systems
Perform complex network development and design work.
Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
Provide input for documentation on new or existing networks.
Develops and conduct tests to ensure networks meet documented user requirements.
Provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Assists customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific
Basic Qualifications:BS degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
2+ years of network engineering experience
Typically requires knowledge of one or more systems architectures such as client/server and distributed processing.
Desired certifications: Azure, AWS, CCNA, CCNP
