RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the department/hospital; picks up biohazard/hospital trash and soiled linen; performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu (QMC – WO) in an orderly and sanitary condition. Performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Seeing, hearing, standing, walking, bending, stooping, forward and overhead reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling up to 5 pounds of force; lifting from floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder 40 pounds, shoulder to overhead 20 pounds. Frequent: talking, squatting, twisting, handling, fingering, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Occasional: sitting, running, climbing ladder, stairs, side bending, crawling, kneeling, crouching.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions. May have some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials, communicable diseases, and body fluids. Work involves performing duties in a small, confined space, ability to negotiates stairs, ramps, and walking uneven ground, and performing tasks sometimes in wet/slippery and hazardous conditions.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: High School diploma preferred.B. EXPERIENCE: Experience as Housekeeping Aide preferred.
