Hawaii Management Solutions, a local business management company, is looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join their team as a Finance & HR Specialist. Being on time, reliable, hardworking and taking initiative is essential.
The primary function of the Finance and HR Specialist is to support the Controller and General Manager with all Finance and Human Resources processes in order to support the departments with achieving company goals and expectations.
Job Functions
Finance Functions:
Process weekly payroll for all pay-codes.
Process certified payroll.
Manage union dues & benefit reports.
Manage and process check deposits and bank runs.
Own the accounts receivables process, meeting with departments weekly to track payment follow up and issue collections letters as needed.
Any other tasks as deemed necessary.
HR Functions:
Manage the overall recruitment process. Includes making sure all job descriptions are up to date, creating job postings, screening applicants, and assisting the departments with interviews.
Own the new hire process to include employee offer letters, new hire orientation briefings, and I9 Completion.
Full responsibility/ownership of ADP, ensuring company is taking advantage of all modules.
Create and own the employee handbook, supporting department managers with policy creation and compliance.
Support department managers with employee reviews (new hires) and disciplinary issues making sure all pertinent information is documented.
Manage the HR SharePoint site to include that all employee documentation is stored accurately and safely.
Own the overall safety program with an assigned representative to oversee at each company.
Any other tasks as deemed necessary.
Job Qualifications:
High school Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
Human Resource experience a plus.
Finance experience a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personality types.
Ability to work independently without supervision.
Ability to work under constraints and to make the most out of allotted resources.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.
Attention to detail and completing work to a deadline.
Understand the importance of handling sensitive and confidential information and documents.
Great communication skills.
Advanced computer skills, (i.e., MS Word, Excel, and Project).
