Ground Transport, Inc. is a local School Bus Transportation Company that has been operating in Hawaii for over 30 years. We are searching for a hand-On Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible for our Oahu, Maui and Big Island Facilities/Buildings and Base Yards. This position is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the company’s grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include coordinating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations, and coordinating renovations and updates. This position is a full-time position that is required to report to our main Kapolei, Oahu office, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage the upkeep of buildings, yards, equipment and supplies to meet all Fire and OSHA health and safety standards.
Maintain and keep all OSHA records updated and properly filed
Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Work with team member(s) to ensure facilities are properly maintained
Monitor and ensure the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, and parking lots
Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences as directed
Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions, as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-years’ experience in Facility Maintenance and Management
Extensive knowledge of current Fire and OSHA regulations and record-keeping
Knowledge and Ability to perform basic maintenance
Ability to manage multiple priorities with varying degrees of importance
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively, respectfully and cooperatively with all employees from officers to staff, as well as the customers, vendors, etc.
