We are hiring a full-time assistant shop manager for our busy flower shop, based in Kaimuki, with our retail location in Waikiki. The ideal candidate has a good balance of leadership, management skills and artistic skills. This is a really fun and fulfilling job because you get to be part of people's most special days of their lives. It is fast-paced and full of creativity and excitement.
This is a long-term position with room for growth.
Huge plus if you have experience working with flowers, but I'd prefer you have management experience moreso than flower experience.
We are willing to train the right candidate if you don’t have experience in this industry, because reliability, being on time, energy, coachability and communication skills are the most important traits.
Requirements
Reliable, stable personality and character
Solid working vehicle with up-to-date registration and insurance (we reimburse for mileage)
Current Driver’s License
Ability to legally work in the state of Hawai’i
Excellent attention to detail
Good driving and navigation skills
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent written, spelling and speaking skills

Ability to manage time well to make sure orders are delivered on time

Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day order schedule on our florist software and website
Managing online team portal for task management
Checking and replying to customer and team emails
Communicating directly with customers with 5-star customer service
Routing and doing deliveries to accounts, recipients and customers
Managing inventory and making sure flowers are promptly hydrated and stored when received
Fridge space management
In-house florist skills must be learned so you can train employees on proper techniques
Floral design (happy to train you on that if you don’t have experience)
Work with suppliers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and drop-offs on schedule
Some shop errands as needed
