IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Full Time Supervisor will have direct responsibility and accountability for the successful performance of cleaning services in a multi-story commercial office building located in downtown Honolulu.
Schedule is Sunday through Thursday. This position is eligible for a bonus and other benefits. (Additional benefits and bonus eligibility details would be provided at time of hire.)
Essential functions of the job include:
Training cleaners in the safe and efficient performance of their work.
Daily inspection of the quality and thoroughness of the cleaning relative to the customer's specification.
Scheduling, supervising, and assisting with maintenance projects, including carpet cleaning, tile and grout scrubbing, hard surface stripping & waxing, and pressure washing.
Managing labor and supply budgets and inventories.
Ensuring customer satisfaction through regular inspections.
Proactively resolving customer complaints.
Responsibility for OSHA compliance, including janitor safety, chemical labeling, equipment inspection, and updating SDS books.
Counseling and disciplining cleaning technicians as required.
Assisting cleaners and filling short-term vacancies when necessary.
Training in proper timekeeping in accordance with company policies.
Ordering supplies.Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
Hiring may be conditioned on criminal background check and drug screening.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds, push, pull, climb up and down stairs, ride in elevators, stand for long periods of time, and otherwise perform the physical work required for janitorial services.
Preference for experience operating floor maintenance equipment, including autoscrubbers, rotary "side-by-side" floor scrubbing machines, carpet extractors, wet/dry vacuums and pressure washers.Additional information
Must be willing to work nights and weekends, and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, and pay attention to details. May be required to arm/disarm security alarm systems and lock doors.
