ENPRO Environmental is a locally owned and operated environmental assessment and project management firm based in Kailua with 24 years of successful operation in Hawaii. We are currently seeking a General Manager to be responsible for our operations and supporting functions.

Job Description -

General Manager:

The successful candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting profession in Hawaii, including at least 5 years of management experience. This candidate must meet the criteria of a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) as defined by the State of Hawaii Department of Health. Demonstrated knowledge of and successful experience in a broad range of environmental disciplines associated with due diligence, property acquisition, and property re-development (including demolition, large scale interior renovation, contaminated soil management and remediation) is required. This position reports directly to the President and is supported by two division managers, technical staff, administrative staff and business development. This position is primarily responsible for the successful performance of all project operations and supporting functions. Candidates with strong industry and client contacts will receive preference.

Employment Status:

This is a full-time management position. Hybrid work from home/in office status available after successful completion of on-boarding.

Work Schedule:

Full time employment may include evening and weekend assignments, as well as assignments to the neighbor islands.

Compensation:

This is a professional salaried positions with FULL medical, dental, vision, PTO, recognized holidays, professional training, flexible work schedule, 401k benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

Four-year college degree in physical, biological, geological or related science.

More than 5 years of successful experience in the environmental consulting profession in Hawaii.

At least 5 years of management experience.

Knowledge of and successful experience working with the DOH Technical Guidance Manual (TGM).

Successful experience with Phase I/Phase II Environmental Assessments and/or preparation and implementation of Environmental Hazard Evaluation/Environmental Hazard Management Plan (EHE/EHMP), Construction EHMP.

Ability to perform as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP).

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated.

Ability to communicate clearly, read and write in English.

Detail oriented with excellent written communication skills.

Computer and technology efficient.

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients and employees.

Ability to load and unload project equipment and supplies (up to 50 pounds)

Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and have clean driving record.

Must have dependable personal transportation and Hawaii Driver's License.

Strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

State of Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Certifications in asbestos and lead (inspector, project monitor, risk assessor, project designer, etc.).

Experience designing, managing, and documenting remediation projects (soil, groundwater, asbestos, mold, lead, other waste).

Other professional environmental or related experience (EA/EIS, ESCP certification, civil engineering, SWPC, etc.)
