Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and safety-conscious Adventure Tour Guides to join our team on a part-time or casual basis, with the potential for full-time opportunities during the summer season. As a guide, you will:
Lead groups of up to eight guests through our rainforest canyon, ensuring a memorable and safe experience.
Provide comprehensive instruction on rappelling techniques and safety procedures.
Assist guests of varying skill levels, from beginners to experienced adventurers.
Maintain equipment to ensure all gear is in excellent condition.
Share your knowledge about the local environment, flora, fauna, and the area's history.
Respond effectively to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Qualifications:
Upbeat and outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a fun, welcoming environment for guests while maintaining professionalism.
Previous experience in outdoor guiding, climbing, or rappelling is preferred but not required; comprehensive training is provided.
Passion for adventure and educating others about nature and safety.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including hiking and rappelling in varying weather conditions.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, hiking up to 3 miles, and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
