Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and experienced Dance Instructors to join our team. Being great with children is a must with a strong dance background. We are looking for jazz, hip hop, musical theater, contemporary teachers. You do not need to fit all of these dance styles. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a curriculum that is age and level appropriate in a nurturing and inspiring manner. Our goal is to build self worth in our students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dance lessons in accordance with the curriculum
- Teach students various dance techniques.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate choreography for performances
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment building self worth and emotional health comes first before dance skills.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure the safety of all students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to organize performances
- Maintain studio policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of dance style you teaching.
- Ability to effectively educate and engage students of different ages and skill levels
- Excellent classroom management skills, including behavior management techniques
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for dance and desire to inspire others
