We're Seeking a Group Leader for a before school morning care program at Aina Haina Elementary School. This is for Mondays and Wednesdays on school days from 6 am to 8 am.

Job Description: As a Group Leader, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for students during our before or after-school programs. Whether you’re a student, parent, or someone passionate about education, this opportunity allows you to gain valuable experience in the field. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training!
Responsibilities:
Student Engagement: Lead a group of students during before or after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. This is specifically for a before school position.
Age-Appropriate Activities: Develop and implement engaging activities, including arts and crafts, games, and educational projects. Help with homework too!
Attendance and Accountability: Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure all students are supervised and accounted for.
Qualifications:
Age: Must be at least 18 years old. (Aides may be 16)
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: No prior experience required; we offer full training!
Passion: A genuine interest in working with children.
No experience yet? If you've worked as a coach, scout leader, instructor or volunteered in a children's ministry - it counts! Babysitting, work as a Nanny, and caring for your own children also prepare you for a role with us. We'll help you gain additional training and experience so your dream of working with children can come true!

A Typical Day in the School Age Program might look like this:
Greet the children as they arrive
Help children get a snack and wind down after a busy school day
Assist with homework
Play board games or cards
Facilitate a craft project
Supervise a group of children as they play outdoors
Judge a singing or dance contest
Help build a Lego village
Guide children as they follow a recipe for slime or a fun treat!
Greet families as they arrive to pick up their child for the day.
