Hawaii Technology Academy Public Charter School seeks candidates for the position of K-12 Substitute Teacher (Kihei campus) for the 2023-2024 school year. Preferred candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree or higher (but not required).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- providing daily face-to-face and online instruction to students based on a teacher's lesson plan
- the well-being and safety of the students while on campus
- taking attendance at the start of each class
- maintaining a functioning classroom
- utilizing classroom management skills
- leaving a clean classroom
- teaching the provided curriculum
Flexibility, creativity and innovation stand at the heart of HTA’s program so the ideal candidate will be versatile with regard to skill sets and pedagogical approach to teaching and learning, and will preferably have experience in creating and delivering face-to-face and/or virtual courses in grades K-12. This position requires face-to-face instruction and requires state and federal background and TB clearance
